Tenchijin COMPASS KnoWaterLeak will be launched in the European market
Tenchijin is preparing to launch Tenchijin COMPASS KnoWaterLeak across Europe, which will allow for the management and reuse of leakage data. Tenchijin COMPASS KnoWaterLeak is a service that visualizes areas with high leakage risk on a map, allowing municipalities and private water utilities to minimize time and expense on leakage surveys. In Japan, the service launched in April 2023 and has been adopted by 14 towns as of June 2024.
The average water supply yield in Europe ranges between 75% and 85%. This indicates that in Europe, between 15% and 25% of the water supplied by water authorities is lost due to leakage or unauthorized use. Water scarcity has a significant impact on agriculture, industry, and society in Europe. Society as a whole is growing more concerned about water resource management. Businesses are also concerned with the economic losses due to leakages.

With our experience with cities in Japan, we believe Tenchijin COMPASS KnoWaterleak can be a potential solution to Europe's water concerns through the utilization of satellite big data. Our goal is to speed up the completion of proofs of concept across Europe by participating in this prestigious program supported by the Austrian government. Through the extension of the Tenchijin COMPASS KnoWaterLeak service, we will continue to endeavor to add value to the management of Earth's valuable water resources and, eventually, contribute to sustainable development in society.
