JAXA Venture Tenchijin has been chosen to participate in "SCALER8," a mentoring program that supports multinational start-ups reach the German market

Chuo-ku, Tokyo. CEO: Yasuhito Sakuraba.

Tenchijin Inc., a JAXA-approved space venture, has been selected for "SCALER8," an international startup support program sponsored by Start2 Group. The program will take place over several months, beginning in July 2024 and culminating in Germany in October of this year.

Tenchijin will be a member of the first cohort to receive SCALER8 support in 2024. SCALER8 has previously assisted a large number of international startups and SMEs in their market expansion into new regions in Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. The program gives companies the chance to work with professionals of various sectors (government, digital, infrastructure, etc)  and explore global expansion plans.

In order to assist businesses with every step of the expansion process—from product-market fit validation, branding, go-to-market strategy to local presence establishment in Germany—the program offers participants access to experienced partners and mentors.

Furthermore, SCALER8 is pleased to be a member of Singapore's Global Innovation Alliance, a collaboration between Enterprise Singapore and EDB Singapore, which is supported by German Entrepreneurship, a leading provider of innovation services with strong ties and experience in both Germany and Asia.

Tenchijin COMPASS KnoWaterleak will be available in the European market

Tenchijin Inc. is developing "Tenchijin COMPASS KnoWaterleak," a tool for the management and localization of leakage in the European market. Tenchijin COMPASS KnoWaterLeak" is a service that visualizes areas with high leakage risk on a map, allowing municipalities and private water utilities to reduce both time and expenses spent on leakage surveys. In Japan, the service launched in April 2023 and has been adopted by 20 towns as of August 2024.

In Europe, leakages and unauthorized use result in the loss of 15% to 25% of the supplied water. Water scarcity has an immense effect on agriculture, and society as a whole is growing more concerned about water resource management.

While leveraging our experience and knowledge gained in Japan, we hope that our leakage risk management system using space big data will be a promising solution to Europe's water concerns. Our goal is to accelerate the proof of concept in Germany with our participation in this distinguished program. Through the extension of the Tenchijin COMPASS KnoWaterLeak service, we will continue to strive to add value to the management of Earth's valuable water resources and ultimately contribute to sustainable development.
